I grew up loving gymnastics and dance and music, and was also immersed in various cultures. As I grew up wrestling with my identity and a sense of belonging, I soon realized that my passion is to create space for people to belong and to know they are loved as they are. When we understand our inner selves and can accept who we are, that frees us to truly love the world around us.
I started yoga to help my heart and body become more balanced and settled, and came to firmly believe that yoga is an amazing tool and a way of life that can be practiced by people from all walks of life and of any faith!
Currently, I host group classes as well as private lessons and retreats, with the hope of providing a space for everyone to explore their inner world and find suppleness & strength in their body and mind. I'm a certified YOGA ALLIANCE 200 hour instructor, as well as a kids yoga instructor. I have also received training on integrating Ayurvedic wisdom into yoga practice.
I've lived in 6 different countries and consider both Japanese and English as my heart languages. I've worked with education projects in the slums of Cambodia and managed a social enterprise in the post-tsunami zone in Tohoku, Japan. I'm married to a wonderful fellow global nomad, David, and we currently reside in Yokohama.
